San Diego, California – January
2, 2007 – Pangea Foundation today
announced that it has received a software donation
valued at $564,911 from Microsoft. The donation
underscores Microsoft’s commitment to Pangea
Foundation’s mission throughout the past
several years.
The Microsoft software contribution will help
Pangea Foundation provide nonprofits across America
with easy-to-use Web applications that enable
organizations to measure outcomes and visualize
program impact. The ultimate goal though, is not
only for the organizations themselves to have
insight into the impact of their programs; rather
it’s to communicate that impact in a way
that will encourage further investment in their
efforts.
“We are grateful to Microsoft for this generous
software donation. Microsoft continues to play
a leading role in our efforts to deliver capacity
building Web applications to nonprofits,”
said Kraig Kuipers, Chief Executive Officer of
Pangea Foundation. “Microsoft’s contribution
will enable nonprofits across America to fully
take advantage of the Web to make a difference.”
