San Diego, California – March 1,
2003 – Pangea Foundation today
announced that Resident Service Coordinators across
America will now have access to an intuitive and
easy-to-use Web-based software application that
will help them measure outcomes and report program
impact while improving service delivery to low-income
residents living in affordable housing.
Pangea Foundation listened carefully to the input
of over 70 Resident Service Coordinators, housing
managers, Supervisors, and other recognized industry
leaders, including HUD Program Officers, to develop
Abilities for Resident Service Coordinators, a
Web-based software application that enables Service
Coordinators serving in affordable housing facilities
to implement, manage, and evaluate an elderly
resident services program while meeting the highest
of compliance standards. Abilities for Resident
Service Coordinators also provides Service Coordinators
a simple electronic solution that enables them
to complete the frequently used reports and forms
required by HUD’s Service Coordinator Grant
Program.
The newly launched Web application is a result
of several years of research and development.
Prior to Abilities for Resident Service Coordinators,
Service Coordination was almost completely paper-based.
Abilities for Resident Service Coordinators takes
the best practices of today’s Resident Service
Coordinator program and integrates them into a
Web-based system that empowers Service Coordinators
to more effectively meet the needs of their residents.
Recognizing the increasing need to leverage advanced
technologies in service coordination, Pangea Foundation
decided to act to meet the need. Now, using advanced
technologies like the newly launched Web application,
Service Coordinators can more effectively work
with policy makers to address the burgeoning health
and housing needs of America’s aging population.
About Pangea Foundation
Pangea Foundation was created with one goal in
mind: To bring state-of-the-art technology to
schools and community organizations. These groups
are historically among the last to receive breakthrough
technologies. Our goal is to change that. Since
its inception in 1996, Pangea Foundation has been
developing solutions that ensure all segments
of the community enjoy the vast benefits of technology,
particularly those underserved by traditional
institutions. We work closely with schools and
community-based organizations to implement technology
solutions that strengthen their efforts to serve
their communities. For more information, please
